REDISA, alive and well, presents demo tour of Product Testing Institute

SA Polymer Technology covers a demonstration tour of the Product Testing Institute (PTI) in the Coega IDZ, Gqeberha. The PTI was developed by REDISA and is the only lab in Africa that can do full tyre testing, including rolling resistance, load and endurance tests.

The tour was led by REDISA’s Alex Erdmann. The article notes that with the Waste Tyre Plan withdrawn, there is a chance that REDISA could be brought back to serve the tyre industry.
