Waste Tyre Management in SA
REDISA has written a report covering the context, opportunities, history, and status quo of waste tyre management in South Africa from the early 2000s to the present day. It is based on REDISA’s experience and audited data for the years 2103 to 2016, and the published Annual Reports and Annual Performance Plans of the DEA/DFFE. It gives a description of how waste tyre management began, evolved, and devolved
The Report contextualises waste tyre management in Circular Economy and sets out ideas for how an IndWTMP can contribute to the greater objective, rather than just concerning itself with collecting waste tyres from dealers and storing them in depots.
